- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★I recently had a family emergency which required that I travel to approximately 250 miles from my home. I realized at some point that I had a loan payment due that day. I contacted my local Cash Store and related the situation to my loan representative. I was told that there was nothing that could be done and that if the payment wasn't made, the entire balance would be withdrawn from my checking account. I hung up and immediately attempted to find a friend who could make the payment for me, but was unsuccessful. My wife suggested that maybe another location could take the payment. I contacted the branch in Kyle, Texas, and was told that would be possible. I contacted my local branch loan representative and let her know that I would be making my payment at the alternate location. I don't know why my branch did not divulge this information to me. I left the hospital about an hour or so later. Upon arrival at the Kyle location, I spoke with Yesenia Marquez and after reviewing my account, was told that the other location had already processed the entire balance. Of course, I was quite shocked and upset. However, Ms. Marquez remained calm and was able to stop the transaction and process my installment payment in the usual manner. She and her staff were very professional, genuinely concerned and went above and beyond my expectations to resolve the situation, especially considering that they were closing in 15 minutes. I would highly recommend Ms. Marquez and her staff and I'm thankful for their exemplary help. I wish everyone in customer service conducted themselves in this manner.By sidney topasna, June 28, 2017
